Ever had a thought that made you go "hmm, that's profound"? Did you ponder the idea, or did you simply say "I'll have to revisit that one." After all it was just a thought right? A thought in Webster's Dictionary is define as: an idea; opinion; the action or process of thinking. Pretty simple huh? Ok, an idea I've had plenty of them. My opinions oh yes those too. The action of processing the thought long enough to have an impact. Yes, of course, that's how many of us have chosen our professions wouldn't you agree. Personally, I can still remember the theme song from a television show entitled "Perry Mason". The show involved a shrewd lawyer portrayed by actor Raymond Burr that aired most week nights in the 70's. The impact it had on me, I immediately knew that I would pursue a career in law and have been in for more than thirty years to this day. Dr. Wayne Dyer's quote "Our lives are shaped by the sum total of our thoughts." sheds light on the aspect that one thought can be so powerful that it not only spark change in behavior and attitude, but shapes your entire world.
It's phenomenal that thoughts are not merely mental but physical as well. When we give focus to one thought our minds eye creates an image thereby giving shape to new perspectives, behaviors and our world as we see it. Thoughts can also felt by another. Do you recall a time when you thought of someone and they actually showed up or felt as if someone was watching you? Scientists have even confirmed that the power of thought can produce in you a change of attitude, behavior and belief in the way you view the world. Moreover, Dr. Masaru Emoto born in Japan, and graduate of the Yokohama Municipal University and the Open International University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine, has concluded in his studies that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality. In doing such, he showed that by producing different focused intentions through written and spoken words and music and literally presenting it to the same water samples, the water appears to "change its expression".
How much more can we produce with our minds eye by way of one thought as we evolve with our ever evolving world?
